Current collaborations:
Salvation Army: Close to Art developed, in collaboration with Centraal Museum Utrecht, a workshop for the youngsters of ‘Single ticket to independence’ from Salvation Army. In this 2-hour workshop we invite the focus group to share their personal experience of art. The goal is to activate through art and stimulate self-confidence.
Primary school in Utrecht: Kopa and Close to Art are developing the tool kit “Chill with art” for children in primary school. We combine mindfulness exercises for children with looking at images of art. The teacher uses cards with guidelines, images and customized audio and video.
Blend Academy: the youngsters from Blend Academy are trained to become professionals in the hospitality industry. Close to Art developed a curriculum in which meditation and art are tools to develop skills. In addition, we teach interactively about the historic location where the youngsters work (Corvershof, Amsterdam).
